Spatial Journals - In this assignment, you will test your understanding of what a location is and will have the opportunity to forge a link between the areas being discussed in an article along with their relative location on Earth.
War of 1812 -In this lesson pack, you will use ArcGIS Online to create a spatial journal based on historical events surrounding the Battle of Fort George during the War of 1812. Students will explore how the British first lost occupation of Fort George and then the events that led to them capturing the fort. To complete the lesson, students create a collection of point, line and polygon features and symbolize them with appropriate symbols and colours.
Mapping Canadian Confederation - In this lesson pack, you will explore some of the important events, issues and people that played a key role in shaping Canada's national boundaries, provinces and territories.
Mapping Field-Collected Data - In this lesson pack, you will follow the geographic inquiry process to study features in your community. You will use GIS tools that are available in ArcGIS Online to explore, analyze and act on your results.
Mining Resources in Canada - In this lesson pack, you will create a report on the distribution of a mined non-renewable resource of your choice in Canada. Using ArcGIS Online you will investigate the human and physical characteristics of the area(s) where the resource is located.
